Product Description: As mentioned earlier, there are primarily four distinct types of automotive U-joints. How to Determine the Spline Size: To determine the correct spline size, always measure the diameter of the shaft and calculate the number of splines on the shaft. To get the accurate spline count, use a flat edge to cover the shaft blank through the diameter, then calculate the number of splines on the other half and multiply the obtained number by 2 to get the total number of splines on the entire shaft circumference.

Recommendation: If you find that a U-joint needs to be replaced, it is advisable to replace the U-joints in pairs. If one goes bad, the other will likely fail in the same direction.
